There are lots of browser options to choose from. This is a Firefox extension that allows you to see a preview of a web page is you hover over a link. (That is the setting I have chosen. You can also have a "Click on the icon" option.)The one drawback is that if you hesitate over a link, it will pop-up, so you need to be decisive.
